Ten things I learned from my Dad:
- Never quit. Anything. Ever.
- Math is important. Boring, but important. And it's easy to impress most people with math.
- A small task, when repeated enough times, gets a huge job done.
- Work hard. And value the things you get for working hard.
- Boys are different from girls. Very, very different.
- Your home is a valuable thing. Take care of it.
- Be independent. Even if it hurts.
- Knowing how to fix things is very liberating.
- Get as many skills as possible. You never know when they'll come in handy.
- Love doesn't always come in hugs and kisses. Sometimes it's in an oil change, a few dollars tucked in your pocket, or a couple of tickets to a baseball game.
