Just another vent, people.
First of all, the latest step-daughter drama is that she has declared that she is going to kill herself and she keeps thinking about her mother or her father with their limbs ripped off or their heads cut off or their throats ripped out. Great.
Sea Hag insists that H's therapist says we should just ignore these statements, because she's just "processing" her grandfather's recent death.
That's been enough to keep me pretty pissed off at her (Sea Hag), but I'm dealing with it. Until now, when she just called and informed Rusty that she just found out that the last time H was here, my DD asked H to get a knife for her while she was making her a peanut butter sandwich, and H got a SHARP KNIFE!!! [ "So?" ] Well, aparently, in THEIR house, they've put all the sharp knives up high in the cabinets so that she can't accidentally touch one. So now she's under the impression that we are required to do the same.
THIS CHILD IS ALMOST 7 YEARS OLD!!!
Jesus Christ, you stupid BITCH, the reason your child is a simpering puddle of CRAZY is because you have SHELTERED her from every DAMNED DEVELOPMENTAL MILESTONE you can! I guess we should consider ourselves lucky that you allowed her to learn to speak ENGLISH! Oh, no, that might lead people to believe she's not smart. She can handle academic tasks just fine, it's the independece- and social-related tasks she isn't allowed to attempt.
