Just had to add: the silent phone proves my point.
A vague Facebook status from a cousin suggests that an aunt has passed away. Guess who's jumping on the phone to let me know? Nobody, that's who. In their world, everyone calls THEM when they have big news, because we're all telepathic and know instinctively that they have something to tell us. So I had to learn of a relative's death by reading a complete stranger asking a cousin about it on Facebook. Typical.
