Finally, we got in for our hospital follow-up. And it was completely uneventful.
Mostly.
Basically, she made a copy of our log book we've been keeping, and will forward it to the diabetes specialist she's referring us to. This specialist will have more info about whether or not we can get the pump or possibly switch to a different kind of insulin that would require only one shot per day. We also have to see an opthamologist. And because anytime a diabetic has a fever it can seriously screw with their blood sugar, she HAS to get the flu vax, and luckily, she was able to get the mist. She was VERY relieved.
Other than that, the doc pretty much said, "Keep up the good work."
