Well, still no satisfaction at work. VP gathered her copious notes after talking with me and said she'd sit down and work out a plan. It sounded like the plan is to be up Boss' butt for a while. Not much in the way of action. Highly doubtful that S is going to get demoted or fired, the best I can hope for is a write-up. Freaking LAME. *sigh*
Now B has put in her two weeks, and the congrats are pouring in for her. It's funny though, she tells me that everyone's next question is, "How's Sassy taking it?" I suppose it's nice to know people recognize my ugly position, but it's not much of a comfort.
As for Boss, though, it seems that Kharma may have already taken notice. Thursday, he called off work because he had to rush his dog to the vet. Now don't get me wrong, I don't wish anything bad on a poor innocent creature. However, it seems at this point, this situation is actually harder on Boss than it is the dog. Aparently overnight the dog developed juvenille cataracts. If left alone, the dog will go blind, and could also develop glaucoma (which is apparently painful?). They've put him on all sorts of medicines and have to wait a week to see how it develops, but they recommend surgery. Surgery might not prevent him from going blind. Surgery plus meds will end up costing him around $5000. The dog is 1 yr old. So, shell out the $5k and risk having to put him down when he develops a painful incurable disease, do nothing and end up putting him down and never know if you could have saved him? Kharma's a bitch, my friend.
